Robin Says: "The skies finally cleared on Friday and I took the scope out that evening for a proper power supplied tryout. It was superb... I looked at a few objects in the Scopius/Sagittarius region such as M4, M8 and M20. The Trifid was particularly impressive with the dark lanes easily defined... I finished up the evening by looking at Jupiter with the 14mm Pentax XW. What an awesome sight! I have never seen Jupiter with this level of detail, with the GRS clearly defined and instead of the usual 2 undefined cloud bands I was seeing complex swirls and festoons off the cloud bands and additional well defined bands towards the polar regions..."
